
Patient Information
The purpose of the Patients’ Charter is to explain to patients their rights and responsibilities when using the services of MPMED CLINIC. Understanding one’s own rights and responsibilities helps enhance doctor-patient cooperation and mutual trust, improving the medical experience and service effectiveness.
Part One: Patients’ Rights
Right to Treatment
- Entitled to receive medical services that meet currently recognized standards
Right to Information
- Entitled to know the medical services provided by the clinic and related charges
- Entitled to clearly understand one’s own condition, diagnosis results, disease progression, and treatment plan, including risks, sequelae, and other feasible treatment options
- Entitled to know the names, effects, and possible side effects of prescribed medications
- Entitled to know information related to one’s condition and treatment
Right to Choice
- Entitled to choose to accept or refuse any medication, examination, or treatment, and to be informed of the possible consequences of such a decision
- Entitled to choose to seek a second medical opinion
- Entitled to choose whether to participate in medical research programs
Right to Privacy
- Entitled to privacy without infringing on the rights of other patients or healthcare staff, and to receive respect regarding personal dignity, religious beliefs, and cultural values
- Entitled to request that the clinic keep your personal and medical information confidential
Right to Complaint
- Entitled to lodge complaints through the channels provided by the clinic and to receive a prompt and fair investigation and response within a reasonable timeframe
Part Two: Patients’ Responsibilities
- Should provide detailed information to doctors and nurses about current health status, past medical history, allergies, and other relevant details
- Should comply with the patient guidelines established by the doctor
- Should follow the treatment plan and related instructions proposed by the doctor and agreed upon by both parties
- Should attend appointments on time; if unable to attend as scheduled, should notify the clinic as early as possible
- Should take good care of personal belongings and items while in the clinic
- Should not request healthcare staff to provide incorrect information, receipts, sick leave certificates, or documents; nor to enter incorrect information into your medical records
